This is my first post of 2015 and with it comes a new ADB and Fastboot installer.
Google just published the factory images of Android 5.0 for all Nexus phones and tablets. If you can’t wait for the over-the-air updates to hit your device, you can download the corresponding image and flash it yourself.
Earlier this morning Android Police leaked a factory image of Android 5.0 for the Nexus 7 (2012) Wi-Fi model. It appears that this image is the final one but as of this writing, there’s no confirmation. Update: it is indeed final.
Google updated the Android SDK to version 23.0.2 and while the ADB and Fatboot tools have changed, the version stayed the same. I don’t know why they didn’t bump the version number but I just updated my installer. You can learn about its features, usage and more here.
